Certain Love

The first thing I remember about Mike was seeing him walk across campus with a sharply pressed pleat down each leg of his khaki pants. No one else had pressed pants like that. Thanks to his mom's ironing skills, it was the start of a ten year friendship before we were married (unfortunately his mom wasn't included in his man dowry and his pants have never been the same since we married, sorry Mike). The pleats—while an exciting detail to a young girl—were nothing compared to his goodness which captured my heart. The song Certain Love is my heart's conversation with Mike.
